How can I build muscle for horseback riding without a horse?
Tuesday, August 11th, 2009horsechika72 asked:
I love horseback riding and I would like to build the muscles required to become a better rider, but I don’t have my own horse. I ride about once a week, but because it is so expensive I can’t ride more then that. I also play volleyball, which help wiht some muscles, but they’re not quite the same ones. I’ve also checked into Exercise Machines that are supposed to be horse simulators, but they are extremely expensive (Around $2,000). Any ideas as to what I can do?

How to build muscle endurance, not size?
Sunday, December 2nd, 2007 asked:
I’ve been doing a lot of running and biking. I want to balance out the aerobic exercise with some strength training. Sure, I want to build some muscle , but I don’t want to keep growing muscle and eventually wind up oversized- I want to build muscle to a normal extent and from there build up muscle endurance as much as I can. How can I do this?

Can I do swimming and weights and still build muscle?
Thursday, November 22nd, 2007Fieldrunnerbob asked:
I swim 6 days a week at a fairly high intensity for 1 and a half to 2 hours. I also do heavy lifting about 4 times a week and am 15. Does swimming the day after weights stop the muscle I’ve broken down in the gym from healing, or does it aid the recovery? Also does swimming in general inhibit muscle growth or make it easier to build muscle?
