life of guitar asked:
At what age is it OK to start weight training to actually begin building muscle and getting noticeably stronger? Before what age is it damaging to weight train particularly arms? Is going for long, intense bike rides count as weight train for the legs and is it OK to go on intensive bike rides in consecutive amounts of days or should I rest my muscles? Serious answers from experience professionals please no jokes or just put in your opinion. Thank you.

I’m asking this for a friend of mine. He is 160 pounds and 5′8. He’s VERY skinny and wants to “bulk up” and gain weight. He has a very high metabolism…he eats like a horse and doesn’t gain a pound!! What are some GREAT products that can help him build muscle and gain weight that actually WORK?

I am taking care of 7 previously abused dogs that were really emaciated. I got their weight up but they’re muscles are still lacking and without proper muscle toning they are going to have joint and other problems. I am well connected to the world of dogs, vets and canine scientists so I don’t really need any trivial info, I have tried everything to build up these poor dogs but there haven’t been any significant results. My veterinarian friend is stumped and I’m pretty desperate, I would really appreciate any advice.

I just want to start working out to lose some weight and gain some muscle. What supplements are best for this? Like anything that will boost metabolism, lessen the burning in muscles while working out, anything that will build muscle? Just need a few tips on it because I’m new to this. Thanks alot!
