I’m an extremely active and advanced dancer but right now I’m in the middle of a growth spurt so the muscle in my legs keeps streaching and dissapearing. Is there anything that I can do to build it quickly? My legs look very muscular…just very skinny…and I’m afraid if I wait any longer to try to build muscle it’ll be too hard. Please answer!

Not like protien shakes and stuff, those are yuck, but something more on the lines of creating a food for life diet that’ll help build muscle and something that i would actually want to eat and enjoy eating.

I’m actually quite spot-on as far as weight, goes, I guess. I’m 5′5″ and I weigh 123 pounds. I have a skinny frame, I think, because I can overlap my fingers around my wrist. And I think I have an athletic build, though I could be wrong. My waist is at least 4 or 5 inches above my belly button, and my hips are about an inch below my belly button. I’m pretty small. 33.5″ bust/27 or 28″ waist/33.5″ hip. I have a bit of flab over my stomach that I want to drop, and I want to build arm and leg muscle, as well as stamina. I’m in marching band, y’see, and since we have to hold up our instruments, I need some arm strength. We do pushups if we mess up, but I haven’t had to do all that many, really. But I can’t do pushups very well, and it makes my head hurt when I do them. I also can’t do crunches very well. I can’t even remember how to do them. I really want to get into shape, and I’m pretty good in the leg department (soccer). So what can I do?

Does a rowing machine burn fat or build muscle?

Emmy asked:

Does a rowing machine build a lot of muscle or burn fat more, because I want to burn the fat I have in my arms and don’t know any other way but to use a rowing machine. I’m a fairly petite girl, and don’t want a lot of bulky muscle in my arms so should I use a rowing machine? If not what’s a good substitute?
