Monday, December 14th, 2009Matt asked:
After years or being beaten up and ignored by women I have decided that I am going to start body building but I am slightly chubby now and the last time I worked out in high school I gained lots of muscle and fat and then the muscle went and the fat never left. I am going to take protein and eat healthy, I am using the Dave Drapper workout. I want to know how I can lose fat while building the muscle is this possible. Thanks Im not obeast at all just slight chubby. Thanks

How often should you work out if you want to build muscle?

I’m working out now 6-7 days a week doing about 45 minutes with weights and 45 minutes cardio. I want to change up my workout to build more muscle, I’ve still got a bit of fat to lose too, but not too much. What I want to know is, when I change it up to focusing more on weights should I still do them daily, and should I do less cardio? I’ve heard too much will inhibit muscle growth.

Does consuming a large amount of soy protein immediately after a workout really help build muscle?

I have heard that you build more muscle if you take your protein IMMEDIATELY finishing your workout. The longer you wait, the less effective it actually is. I have also heard from other sources that this is untrue. Can anyone give me a definite answer on this? Preferably with scientific data or sources to back it up.
